"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He
has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for
the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." Isaiah
61:1
Candi, a former 4th grade teacher, loves
teaching and has a heart for sharing Christ with her students.
She felt called in 2005 to quit her teaching job, join the new
mission work in Aguascalientes, Mexico and to minister to the
children there. Aguascalientes is a city of approximately one
million people, where only 1 in every 100 people are free in
Christ. Many in the city are bound by sin such as obsession with
death, idolatry, sexual immorality, and witchcraft. As the new
ministry in Aguascalientes begins, Candi will partner with the
Smuck family, the Giron family, and Andrea Byrne. They will
evangelize and disciple new believers with the goal of starting
a church planting movement of house churches.
Timeless prayer requests:
- For team unity, wisdom, and discernment
for this new ministry.
- For adapting to the Mexican culture and
practicing the Spanish language.
- For the children of Aguascalientes to
know Jesus, to be set free in Him, to grow in Him, and to tell
others about Him.
- For Candi's walk and love of the Lord to
grow deeper by relinquishing personal desires and replacing them
with His desires.
