We arrived to Aguascalientes, Mexico after a
three day drive. We were able to reunite with the rest of the team
on Wednesday the 30th at around 7:00pm. We crossed the border of
U.S. and Mexico Tuesday at around 11:00am. And we thank God that
the deal to obtain all the permits to entered the country went very
fast and smoothly. And although we had red light upon passing the
border line, the officer only asked us to open the trailer and one
of the many boxes that we carried, and the revision was very
simple. Later on they stopped us once more to revise us but this
time they only asked for our documents and they allowed us
immediately to continue our road.
We had to stop two times to sleep but God
provided us of two good secured hotels where we could rest without
any fear and with all our belongings.
We praise our Lord because although we carried
a lot of load, we could feel how His hands were protecting us
through the road and that He had the control of the vehicle, which
without any problems (not even a flat tire) it took us to our
destination in perfect conditions.
We are very touched since God in the second
day of being in Aguascalientes, gave us a great opportunity to had
contact with a real estate person which upon showing us one of the
houses that we were seeing to rent she asked us who we were, what
kind of work we were doing, etc.… She was so glad to know that we
were missionaries and that we were there to speak of the word of
God. She told us about her Mother and sisters in Mexico D.F. that
converted to Christ a few years ago and that she was the only one
left. She told us that for two year she has been seeking for a
group to teach her more about the word of God and sing praises,
because she likes to hear them a lot. What a great opportunity!!!!
Praise Him!! Her name is Teresa. Please pray for her and for us to
deepen the relationship with her and to be able to carry her to the
feet of Jesus.
We still do not have a house yet but we trust
that God already has prepared the adequate one for our family.
We thank the Smuck family for sharing their
home with us while we find one for our family to rent. Meanwhile,
we ask you for your prayers so that we can see and to understand
clearly in which area of the city is that God wants us to start
working sharing the gospel and to obtain fruits.
Thank you so much for your continue prayers,
lot of this has been possible thanks to the prayers of all of you.
May God reward your time and love for us.

Deputation is Over!
We estimate having driven about 12,000 miles,
visiting churches and places God has sent us. Many people were
blessed to be a part of it all and made commitments to support our
ministry. In 35 cities, 14 states, and 39 churches, God revealed
Himself so much to our family and others. This time of deputation
has been a time of training. Thanks to His grace, in October we
reached 100% funding, which today we have surpassed. Glory to God!!.
We carry in our hearts each Yearly Meeting and
each superintendent, grateful for all the support shown to us when
we visited. And may the Lord prosper and bless each church and
ministry greatly where we shared the vision from God . Many thanks!
To Aguascalientes We Go
We returned home to Las Vegas on November 28
to finish packing our belongings, to prepare for transition to the
missionary field, and to spend time with our family and friends
during the holidays. One morning in the mail we received a surprise
from God, something desired for almost two years - our very first
certificates as Commissioned Friends Ministers from EFM. That was
very exciting and we praised God to have them in our hands. We felt
like God delivered our passports to the promised land!
We are more than ready now to travel to the
field. Our scheduled day of departure is January 28. It will take
three days to get to Aguascalientes and join the rest of our team.
We can hardly wait to start working there and see how God will make
witnesses of us to the people of Aguascalientes.
Our Christmas and New Year…fellowship,
...breaking of bread, and... prayers...
We give thanks to God for so much love shown
by our beloved family and friends. The holidays were spent eating a
lot together and enjoying one another. Faviola and Edwin Isaac
enjoyed being home for Christmas, and God blessed them with many
clothes, toys, and school supplies. On New Year’s Eve we were at our
local church, which we feel is more than a building - it is a home
for us. We prayed, sang, and praised God together till midnight.
Then we welcomed the New Year with hugs for our family and friends
at the Las Vegas Friends Church. What an unforgettable night that
was, feeling the presence of our God.
On the first day of the year we ate even more
- all day long! The whole family was relaxing and recalling
unforgettable moments of the past year. It was also a day of saying
good-bye to Luís, Maria’s brother (a member of the US Army ), who
was leaving the next morning for New Jersey, and then deployment to
Iraq on January 23rd.
