August 2007Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, Whom we
love and serve! The Lord has been very gracious since we arrived
from our deputation trip there in the States.
1. We have installed Rey and Marilou Olivera as full-time pastors
of Pasig Friends Church. This is the mother church where we
pastored for 29 years. Please pray for their adjustment with the
members that there would be real bonding between Rey and Marilou
with the people.
2. We have finalized our plans for the Gospel/Ministry Team to
help us in our supervisory and church-planting ministry. Please
pray for a good teamwork and harmony with each other. The Team
starts travelling with us this month visiting our churches and
conducting evangelistic meetings.
3. We have nine Bible students enrolled this semester. One is
just a part-time while the rest are full-time. Two are graduating
this school year. Please pray that the two would be able to pass the
government exam for teachers.
4. Last July 21st we had our regular pastors and workers
fellowship. Although many of them did not make it to the gathering
due to hectic schedule, we had a wonderful time of prayer and
sharing of the blessings of God in the ministry. Please pray for
continued unity and harmony among us.
5. I have 14 students in my Hermeneutics course at Faith Bible
College. If they pass the course they would be qualified to take my
next course which is Homiletics. Please pray for good health and
wisdom for these students. This is a "flu season" in our country.
6. Just last August 5th the Samagta Friends Church started a
month-long evangelistic service which will be held every Sunday
Evening. I had the opportunity to be the first speaker. Many young
people (50) attended the meeting and several of them made
professions of their faith to receive Jesus Christ as their personal
Lord and Savior. Please pray that Pastor Roland Javiero would be
able to put up a good follow-up program.
7. Hilda Lumabi, a college graduate who felt the call of the
Lord, is now in charge of our Taguig Friends Church since the former
pastor was asked to have a leave of absence. Please pray that as she
takes this heavy responsibility along with her studies at Faith
Bible College, that she would be able to cope with the requirements
of being a full-time worker at the same time as full-time Bible
student.
Thank you very much for your prayers as part of the Tabingo
support team. May the Lord continue to bless you!
Sincerely in Christ,
Jaime & Lydia Tabingo
